Responsible To:

Manager
Under
the direct supervision of the Residential Site Manager
the Residential Supervisor shall manage and supervise
the provision of residential services to the consumers
residing in the assigned House.
The
Residential Supervisor shall have primary responsibility
for the safety and training of consumers who reside in
the assigned house and ensure that those services are
carried out in accordance with SAVE policies and
procedures as well as all applicable state and federal
guidelines and regulations. Services will be provided
in a home-like setting but will emphasize training as
designated by the IDT (Inter-disciplinary Team) as
specified in the ISP (Individualized Service Plan).
Training will emphasize increasing independence and
community inclusion.
Typical Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of all assigned consumers, and observe
all consumers rights.
Provide an atmosphere
conducive to home living where individuals feel
comfortable, make their own choices and pursue their own
interests to the greatest extent possible.
Under the supervision of
the Nurse-Trainer support consumers in the
administration of medication.
Ensure the provision of all community inclusion
activities (supervision of consumers in the community),
including but not limited to, shopping for
groceries/personal items, attending social/recreational
activities and support for consumer participation in
chosen activities including volunteer activities and/or
employment.
Support for consumers to
be employed or volunteer in community settings including
driving to and from volunteer/worksites.
Provide training to
consumers in miscellaneous areas such as cooking, meal
planning, cleaning, hygiene, self-preservation and
safety in the community.
Develop and maintain
schedules for the effective and efficient operation of
the home such as meal times and carrying out of
activities related to the maintenance of a clean living
setting.
Preferred
Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. Functional skills and
knowledge acquired through completion of high school
education.
Experience in the provision of services to individuals
with developmental and/or other disabilities is
preferred.
