Developmental Training

S.A.V.E.'s Developmental Training Program provides individualized day training services to people with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. The services offered are as varied as the consumers served in the program and include independent living skills training, motor skills training, socialization skill training, community living skills training and recreational services.

The program's goal is to assist its consumers in becoming as independent in their functioning as possible

Vocational Development

SAVE's Vocational Development Program offers people who have a developmental disability the opportunity to work and learn work skills in a supportive environment. Our consumers have a variety of needs, and each seeks results that work for him or her. To meet individual's needs, we offer work opportunities at SAVE, or the consumer can work in the community on our grounds maintenance or janitorial crews. SAVE staff can also help someone interested in learning about jobs in the community.

The Vocational Development program's one common goal is to meet the needs of its consumers.

Residential Program

SAVE operates 15 small group homes that provide a place to live for 40 people with developmental disabilities. We strive to produce a home like atmosphere for the residents in each home that encourages them to explore the challenges of becoming more independent.

Our consumers also enjoy a variety of opportunities to become involved in recreational activities throughout the Belleville/St. Louis Metropolitan area. From Cardinal baseball games, local restaurants and shopping, to Special Olympics, and movies and plays, SAVE's residential consumers are actively involved in our community.

OUR Program

The O.U.R Program's primary mission is to offer temporary release from the stresses and rigors of day-to-day life for people with disabilities, 18 years of age and older, by providing access to recreational opportunities that exist for ALL PEOPLE.
