Meeting the individualized needs of people with
developmental disabilities
|
What is S.A.V.E.? |

|
In 1972 a small group of parents came together to
provide for a better life for their children with mental retardation
and other developmental challenges, including autism, Downs
Syndrome, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and visual and hearing
challenges. From their
commitment and dedication, St. Clair Associated Vocational
Enterprises, Inc. or S.A.V.E. was born.
Over the years the face of S.A.V.E. has changed.
New pro- grams have been added, as well as new people and new ideas. But the organization's
mission has remained constant: to help adults with developmental
challenges achieve their fullest potential and live productive
and
happy lives with dignity and
respect. | |

How Can You Help?
There is a lot of room for new people at
S.A.V.E. We
need volunteers for our pro- grams and fundraisers. We need companies
and businesses to offer employment to our consumers, both
individually, and through the use of our Sub-Contract Services. We
need friends and neighbors to purchase our Christmas Cards,
participate in our Golf Tournament and other fundraising efforts.
There are other ways to contribute to S.A.V.E. through its
Foundation, including gifts, life insurance, bequests in a will or
trust, and through other tax planning methods.
For more information on how you can become an important part
of the big things happening at S.A.V.E., or to arrange a tour of our
facilities, call us at
